For a teacher the summer offers a much anticipated and necessary time to recharge. I like to spend my time off with my three kids, doing typical summer things—going to the neighborhood pool or cooking out in the back yard. However, summer also ranks high as a time to reflect on what is important. Naturally my family life comes in highest, but I never am able to get too far away from a special calling that God gave me. It is a calling that I could never have predicted.
