Carol

"Faith-based initiative" is some kind of politico-speak. As far as I know, when I yawn upon awakening, it's faith-based (those who have no faith yawn with their mouths closed), 'cause I'm breathing in the whole world and saying, "Yeah, come on, you -- in Christ, I'll arm wrestle ya one more day--and win." I don't expect the gov to fund me, nor did Fr. Damien of Molokai, who did more than yawn. He begged what he could, and built those with Hansen's disease a society and world that couldn't possibly reject them, and he catechized them as well. That's something the gov could never do. Tho' I suppose the news might be considered good enough.
