It was really lovely to read your morning and evening reflections one right after the other; they are both very beautiful. This is really the union God desired of His Chosen People in the desert all those forty years, isn't it - this awareness of Him and longing for him every moment, the sanctification of every hour of the day. It's the "attention" spoken of so often by the Desert Fathers; it's the practice of the presence of God of Br. Lawrence. We have to slow down and learn from all who came before us. We have to listen...
